Not looking to hijack post, but if folks put a ups between thier equipment and a GFC Interrupt, will that defeat the GFCI e.g. when the GFCI trips, the UPS instantaneously supplies juice and you continue to get electrocuted . Just wondering.
good question. anyone got an answer for this?

I would think that most UPS units come equipped with some sort of ground fault detector, mostly to protect themselves. If not, their internal electronics would probably be seriously damaged if there was a ground fault down line.

After the last ice storm left us with out power for over 20 hours I bought a 5.5kw generator. Then only problerm is I(or someone that been shown) needs to be here to start it and hook up the tank.

A 3500w Coleman generator. Thinking about upgrading to one of the automatic propane models though.
Texman, when your wife figures out how you wired the house, you might want to lock up those shotguns :lol: .
