How can your tank, that is only TWO months old, be up and running with corals and livestock???

I would have figured that it would just be through its cycle by now.

The tank never "cycled". I bought guarranteed CURED live rock from my LFS paid £12 per kilogram. I tested for Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates for the first 2 weeks just to be sure. The last 6 weeks added most of the corals. I agree it was a hurried work, but its worked out fine.

I did a LOT of reading (and having a Science Degree helps alot) around which has enabled me to achieve what I have with this tank. I could have went slower with the stocking though.

You have noticed the 2 clowns and and the cleaner shrimp--this is as far as I will go with the fish sotck.

Though the tank has got a lot of corals already, its still quite barren in terms of the microfauna etc. Its only in the last week or so that I began seeing lots of sand creatures milling around at night around various rock crevices.
