My new clams from Harbor Aquatics

Just wanted to show off my new aquacultured Marshall Is. clams from Harbor Aquatics:

I got 6 in total.

FYI: Harbor got in 290 total clams 8O

Len, I'm assuming that pic was tanken with the camera in-tank? Your camera have a housing or how did you take it?

You are alot closer to us than Len is. Len lives in California. You are probably only an hour to an hour and a half away depending on where in Chicago you live. We shipped him those clams via FedEx Priority Overnight + Sat. delivery. I will let him comment on what he paid, don't want this to become a commercial post. :wink:

Picture was taken through the front glass (clams are only about 6 inches from it).

They cost me $180 for 6 (incredible deal if you ask me). They are on the small side (1.5-2 inches), but you can't discredit how colorful they are.

Of the 6, I only hand picked one (and paid +$15 for it). The other ones were jt's picks. Of course, I gave him suggestions

I DO get down to Harbour every once in a while, although it has been a while since I last made the trip. (you may recall that I called a few weeks back looking for some large pieces of live.) Unfortunately, since the new tank has only recently been set up (and becuase of certain spouse imposed budget constraints), I will have to put off buying any new clams for a bit. I have, however, allocated a fair amount of open space on the sandbed specifically for clams. So sooner or later, I will be in the market for a bunch.
