I have a false lemon peel angel, royal dottyback, tomato clown,Gold Bar Maroon clown, scooter blennie,Snowflake Moray eel that i have since it was a little bitty thing, and like 4 Damsel, but i don't understand cause if he fought with anyone he would hold his gound and not run off. That is why it is a Surpise to me. OH he was a Seabae Clown Fish.

On a more serious note:

That's 3 different species of anemone fish in one tank. Unless it's a really big tank that can definitly cause probs. Not to mention the eel and the Angel. It all makes for the potential for a lot of aggression.

Sorry about the loss. Even though he's a PIA I would be bummed if my Clown decided to jump.

I had one jump out. So when I built my hood I made it almost impossible for a fish to jump out.

Reef Guy1, do you have anything to stop your fish from jumping. Fish jump, it's part of what they do, for food or safety...Even when I'm in the harbor or on the open ocean you can see fish jumping.

Maybe they do it for fun too. Or in the case of the aquarium, maybe they just want to swim to the rest of the room, because it looks so interesting and then get a rude awakening...

Hey guys my tank is a 135 gal reef tank, and the clown's on a rare occassion would fight. But actually the Seabae Clown bossed the other two around. Now my Tomato Clown is Happy, cause he got his anemone back. He had it for about 5 months, then the Seabae took it from him lol. The tomato has this look like hahaha i got it back, yes now i don't have to hang around that Frog Spawn anymore hehe. Oh yeah and my Maroon Gold Bar Is M.I.A. now, i didn't find him on the floor and don't see him in the Tank :?

funny story, i was sitting on my couch one nite when i felt this splash of water an heard a noise. luckly my curiosity lasted long enough to lify up my couch cushions. this sucker launchedhimself about 8 feet from the tank and managed to get below (not between) the couch cushions. my first and only fish jumping experience. (unless their is a few that made it out the door) :D

One time I was just chillen in my apartment when I heard a big splash and then some flopping around. My poor ornate wrasse was behind the tank gasping for breath and covered with dog hair. He made it really tough to get him out because he flopped diretly to the middle of the back of the tank, and I had to really strech to grab him. I just put him right back in the tank, looking back, I probably should have rinsed him off first because he was covered in dog hair, he looked like a rare long haired wrasse!

I am so glad I was there to see it. I have that tank covered with a sheet of eggcrate, but I had a hole cut out in the middle that I sat the PC light fixture over, that way if I needed to put my hand in the tank I can just slide the light out of the way. Well it turns out I had not replaced the light properly last time I was working on the tank, and there was a wrasse size hole for him to jump out.

I had a Bi-Color blenny jump out of my tank last year. It landed on the kitchen floor next to my wife. She began accusing me of throwing stuff at her. By the time she realized that it was HER bi-color, the dog had given it a bath. :P We put the fish back in the tank and it is still fine to this day. I certainly thought the 5 ft fall from the top of the tank onto a hard tile floor would have been the end of him.

I'd say having 3 different clowns in one tank is a bad idea, even one that big. Maroon clowns can be very aggressive to other clowns. I have two paired maroon clowns that have never tried to jump in a completely open 12" deep tank.

My betta flopped himself across 10 feet of carpet and linoleum to land in a little puddle of water from my shower. He was still alive when I found him.
