hi all and happy holidays.

As luck would have it, and seeing as murpy was an optimist... I have spent my cash over the last 2 weeks buying up bobbles and trinkets, gizmos and gadgets, all in the name of this wounderful time of the year.

I was sitting in the kitchen wrapping some presents and heard a funny pop noise come from my living room and noticed the room looked a little darker.
I went to the living room and found one of my halide bulbs had burst. half of the tube was bobbing up and down in the water and the rest was sorta scattered about the sand. I cleaned it all up the best that I could but now need to get a replacement bulb ASAP.
The nearest place to pick one up would be a seventy mile drive so I am thinking of overnighting the bulb....

Question.. where is a good price to be found on a 10,000k 250w MH ushio on the net???

thanks all!!!!!

hey if you want really really cheap lights....Ebay is the place to be.... My friend got used 400watt halides(iwasaki) for 5 dollars. Of course it was used for about 3 months, but that is a pretty good price for that kind of light. So if you need cheap lights fast get them from Ebay.

FYI if you are going to lower the wattage of the bulb you are using on your MH ballast, the general rule of thumb is to keep it within 50 watts of the specs for the ballast. You MIGHT be able to use a 175 watt on a 250 ballast for a while, but I think longterm, you'll be glad if you spend the extra money on a 250 watt bulb instead.
