Two words for you USMC... Harbor Aquatics. Just got some from them last week and it was awesome. Definetely well worth the price compared to most of the other live rock I've seen for sale.
TB saltwater has their own coral farms. The rock you get won't be ripped off a reef, so it's more environmentally friendly.
The rock will come loaded with critters.... most good, some bad (mantis shrimp for one). Generally speaking the amount of life on it is unbelievable when compared to Fiji rock, but overtime, most of it will die off. Overall, I was impressed with it and would probably do it again if I were to start a new tank.
Hope this helps.

Just dont use anchofish...they totally f..... my order and that was after I basically lectured them on how I was doing this when Hawaii and Guam were exporting the most incredible rock anyone has ever seen! They did the usual ship to order business of mixing in crap with decent pieces. I called them on it and they promised me 20 more lbs of their choicest rock. Never saw that...they would not even return my calls after a certain point. Then last week my cc bill came and they charged me for $216 more rock which I never ordered or received!
As for recommendations...avoid purchasing rock online at all costs. Whenever possible...look at what you are getting! Make them take pictures of what they are shipping you at the very least! I did that with anchofish and the only nice pieces that arrived were the ones I made them send me pics of. As for that rock....I sold most of it and purchased some nice fiji which happened to come in locally.
JMHO (just my humble opinion)
Oh...and I hope Larry and Rose over at anchofish see this post!
Well sorry some of you had trouble with different places but I love my live rock. I got it from Harbor Aquatics and I am very happy with it, and it did not cause a big amonia spike or anything. Here are some pics of the rock I got.
This is my tank, its a 30 gallon with 15 lbs of live rock: http://www.geocities.com/cj_away/tankpi ... 101602.jpg
(don't mind the mess on the back of the tank my power head poped off the skimmer and i had a water fall and some water got behind the backing and the glass need to clean it)
