What's your favorite fish???

Hi Gang,

Just curious what you all think is your favorite fish. Of course everyone will have a different one.

I like my clownfish the most - I have some called A. leucokranos - the "Cap Clown"

Here is a pic of my male fish "defending" his nest:

Picking one would be almost impossible!

Royal gramma's are among my top, as well as Flame Angels.

I'd say it's a toss up between the Hippo Tang, Flame angel, or the Manadarin fish.

It's too hard to choose just one!

Neat question. The responses are going to be very interesting.

The favorite fish that I've kept in my reef has been the mandarin. However, my favorite fish that I'd like to keep if I felt it would be reef safe is the copperband butterfly fish. Going beyond my current reef keeping capacity, my vote is the Queen angelfish.

That I have now or have kept in the past, would have to say currently my 6 Line wrasse and in the past my green spotted puffer (well he was in my brackish tank for several years - lots o personality). As for fish I could aspire to have the space for definitely an adult Imperator angel.

I love my Majestic angel and my Powder Blue tang. Also my Mandarin Pair.

My wife - Powder Blue Tang (beyond our capacity)
Myself - Purple Tang (beyond our capacity)
Myself 2nd favorite - Yellow Tang (Just bought 1)
3rd.......4th.......5th......6th.....and on and on and on.

My favorite fish in my reef tank is a coral beauty. For fish only it would have to be a clown trigger. Never seen a fish with more of a bada$$ attitude!

very nice Sohal! Actually, I don't think all clown triggers have an attitude like my Brother's. His will swim to the back of the tank, then as you approach it will charge to the front and snap at the glass. Will repeat this several times if you stand there a few minutes (which we try not to). I am really surprised it has not damaged it's mouth. You can hear it all the way across the room! Does not do it to anyone in my Brother's family, though.

BTW, the trigger's name is "IT", after the clown in the Stephen King novel/movie (even though the clown in the movie wasn't really named IT).

one of my favorites is prolly the flame hawk. i had one that jumped out of the water once. when i entered the room i found him on the foor, perched up on his pectoral fins upright and was looking around the room with his beady eyes. it was like he didn't even notice that he was out of the tank. great personality!
