i curently jave a powder blue tang and a regal tang they have been in the tankfor 2 months,i am thinking of buying a pacific lip stick tang,has anyone got any idea if it willl be ok and how i should add it. My tank is 48long ,16 wide and 18 high.

I have a marine tank 48 long 18 high ang 16 wide i have 1 actinic tube ,1 18000k power glo bulb and a ocean sun 10000k bulb will this be enough light to keep corals .i have a plate coral a green star coral a bubble coral and a devils finger and i am also thinking of purchasing a leather coral and a brain

i'd say you may be setting yourself for a small disaster.

please slow down.

Good grief he is asking. What's done is done, and it's certainly correctable but correcting it's not going to happen if we drive newcomers off every time they make a mistake.

Donnaw three tangs in a tank that size is not recommended, especially a Naso tang, which is what I think you are referring to. The other tangs will also suffer in a tank that size as they grow, and returning them to the fish store is probably the right thing to do as they mature. You may also not know that Powder Blue tangs have especially bad reputations for long term survival.

All of us received bad or insufficient information from local stores, and this is normally a good place to start to get info or check anything they tell you. People sometimes get touchy about tangs around here, though, so be careful. :D
