My C reactor started leaking within 2-3 months around the drilled inlet in the lower end of the acrylic tube. I noticed hairline cracks around that area that grew to about two inches long. I disconnected the reactor & was advised to fix it with weldon #16.
If you have experience with similar occurences please advise on how well the fix works and does it last?? OR should I just return the C reactor ? I am not sure if the original tube should have been reinforced around that area or not. My smaller Korallin reactor continues to work fine after three years of use and it does not have a hole in the acrylic tube.. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your issues with your Calc reactor. If you can return it I sure would. So save your money and buy an MTC cal reactor. I would say you get what you pay for. I own a reactor that leaked the first day I set it up. I just got tired of trying to fix it. It also cracked around the threads. Then I bought the MTC and have had no problems

AFH: Thanks for your input. I will try the weldon 16 if it leaks again I will just return the Calcium reator & see if they would repair it or replace free of charge If they do not I will have to chug it to bad experience buying from this one supplier. I am not familiar with MTC where can I look up their products.

I'd send it back and try to get a full refund.. the connection you're talking about is notorious for leaking. And IMO will never work correctly.. I'll bet ya.. where ever you bought it from will tell ya.."wow that's the 1st time it ever happend".. fact is.. it's a terrible place for a threaded fitting
