Does anyone have one of these in their tank. I bought him about a year ago as a MOSAIC star. I think that it may be in the linckia familia.

Looks like a predator to me. I don't see the Linkia sp. resemblance.

sorry, I don't have my books with me- but off the top of my head I'd say Fromia, which is generally reef safe but not very hardy. Not sure though.

Fromia... hmmm, I don't know, could be Pretty Star for sure. I really hope it just eats bacteria. That would be a really cool one to keep!

I'd suggest you go to the grocery store and buy a littleneck clam (live) and set it in from of the star (after warming it up)

It looks like a clam cracker to me.

A bug tank??? a refugium used to supply the display with bugs (zooplankton). Here's a pic from last month. I've now got the typical "new refugium" syndrome. some hair and some Cyano. But the bug populations are incredible. You should see how fat my Mandarin pair are 8O

he has been in my tank for at least a year, with no predatory action. I'm not sure what he eats but I defenitely do not target feed him. He is in a 30 gallon with a serpent star and a blue linckia.
