what is flexible pvc..never heard of it...can i get them from home depot?

-Yes Michael, it is sold under the name spa flex hose. Just tell them you are looking for the flex hose used on hot tubs.

All Home Depot's and Lowe's stock it. Use the "BLUE" quick setting PVC cement to glue the fittings. When you need to bend of change the direction of its curve, do not use hairdryers or heatguns as it tends to weaken the hose. Only use boiling water.

My home depot didn't carry it, but I did find that you can get it at any swimming pool supply place.

I don't know of the blue sealant. I use regular purple primer and PVC solvent. No clamps necessary; you use normal hard PVC fittings to plumb it.

Let me elaborate on the fittings. I have tried to use flex-PVC with barb fittings, but it does not work well. You should be using normal PVC slip fittings.

-I know of others who have used this also and had no problems. I went with Weld On Wet R Dry #725 as this is what is recommended by the manufacturer.
