I set up the tank on 10/10/01. That is 2001. I was just shortening the notation to Oct 01 rather than writing it out. I will be more specific next time.

Clovis, is that a coral beauty in your tank? Any problem with that nipping at your corals?

I like your tank! I have had trouble finding good corals to put in my tank. I need things to fill in more.

Yup...that coral beauty has been in there for close to 18 months...with a large assortment of corals and hes never bothered a single one....lucky me huh.

The tang was recently added and the entire system....corals and fish will soon be relocated to a 150 reef that is in the works....so no adverse comment on the tang in the "55". The hippo was quarentined for 8 weeks and is healthy as can be.....hes only about 3"-4" now and I honestly hope to keep him a very long time...but eventually in a much larger system.

I had a beautiful Coral Beauty, best coloration I had ever seen. The darn thing jumped out of the tank on me. I was so upset. He was my favorite fish and all. He also did not nip at any corals.

Nice aquascaping. Believe me I know how hard it is to aquascape a 55. You can see mine on my link because I suck at posting pics. I will be updating the photos soon, but the tank is similar.

I think the aquascaping aspect of a tank is tough. I like the rock to be somewhat vertical but then it kind of limits your ability to place corals well.
