Can anyone please tell me anything about the dietary requirements of this cool little fish? I purchased one over the weekend and was told by my LFS that it eats hair algae. Their is some in my tank and the Sailfin appears to be scraping it off the rocks, but I would like to know if this will provide enought nutrition for him. Currently it is housed in a 75 gallon tank with 48 lbs of live rock. The only other herbivores in the tank are 14 turbo snails, one mithrax crab, and 5 hermits. Will my tank produce enought food for my fish with these other competitors in it? :?:

It can become territorial if he becomes the dominant fish in the tank. You will have problems introducing any new fish into the tank in the future, especially another blenny. It does not like hair or turf algae. Munch more on the algae film and diatoms. Does not touch cyno either. It can be a real pig once he got used to flakes and other meaty food, which shouldn't take too long.

Unlike previous comment, NO, it's not ugly. It got lots of personality and is cute when small..............PITA when grown.
