Arrow crab eating all my Hermit crabs.....help

And of course I can't get ahold of the little SOB.....any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.. I just don't want to have to dismantle my whole reef to get this guy.

to catch him all you have to do is make a fish trap witha 2 liter bottle and put a piece of shrimp in it. leve it there overnight. in them orning he will be in there eating it and you can take him out. if you don't know how ot make the trap justlook it up or ask me and ill give you more detailed info on how to buildit.

seriously though, if you manage to get the bugger in the trap, don't let it escape. I have a feeling that if you let it know what's really going on with the "free meal", it'll never get near something like that again...

I hate arrow crabs
I had one I kept finding hermit carcasses at first, then it started on my clownfish. It ended up catching one and mutilating it. I wasnt sure at first if was actually the arrow crab that killed him. till i came home one day in time to see the arrow crab catch and rip apart my cleaner shrimp!
I caught that little bas**rd with 2 nets, it took a while but i did it. I returned him to the LFS even though i felt like plucking off each and every one of his legs!!
catch him and get him out f your tank, they are EVIL!

did you pass that by the UN security concil. france might object to you removing it. Maybe they can send in some inspectors to make sure that he is the one doing it. you know it might be some other splinter faction living in your tank. Maybe we should fly u-2's over you house to make sure he is not hiding wepon of "crab destruction" 8O in your live rock before you go waging war on that poor defensless arrow crab. If all else fails we drop a 15,000 pound daisy cutter on your house and destroy him. and your problem will be solved . but then agian Im sure france and germany will object. so try the trap first

all you have to do is cut the top of a 2 liter bottle (soda bottle) cut the part where the cap goes on off to a size that the arrow crab can fit through, but not too big or it will be too easy for him to get out. after that, just flip the part you just cut and flip it over so it fits in the open part of the base of the 2 liter. kinda like a funnel on the top of the 2 liter base. you need to secure it to the 2 liter base with either silicone or fishing line. i just punched three holes in the side near the op edge on both pieces and pushed the line throught these holes. after that just put a piece of shrimp inside the trap and leave it in there overnight. you will probably catch some snails, hermit crabs and even fish so it might take some time before you get the victim you want. remeber to keep changing the shrimp everyday so the shrimp doesn't decay in your tank. if you have difficulties understnding i'll make another attempt to explain.
