Anybody used the new model aquaglobe mini pump?

I know the old ones had problems, I'm wondering if the new ones are better, ie non rusting shafts.

Also if they click, I would be using them on a wavemaker. Maybe even direct control, sense they appear to be using low voltage with a transformer.

I ordered one last night, 15 $ + 5 for shipping, shipped this morning.

It'll take 30 days before I will be able to tell if they fixed the rusting shaft issues.

I'm hoping the shaft size is same as rio's, I'll just cut down some rio or maxjet shafts if they fit

Megadeth, did you order this from Ebay? That is the only place I have been able to find these. Would be perfect for my nano but again I heard they were sketchy on durability so have been waiting.

Pump came today, about 2/3 the size of a maxijet 1200, a tad more gph.

They are a little bit louder than a maxijet, they also do not click when starting up.

The impeller is different, the shaft is permanently inside the magnet, the whole assembly and shaft spins, instead of the magent spinning on the shaft.

So far so good, but I havent had it long enough to know if the shafts still break/rust.

I really like it, but I need another month at least before I commit to buying a few more of them

The pump has the same adjustments as a maxijet, only difference is the maxijet mount can be moved to the oposite side of the pump, the aquaglobe is fixed to one side, the nozle does rotate like a maxijet does.
