I am upgrading my 55 gal tank to a 125 gal tank. But before I spend the money, I would like to know what tank you would buy(Glass or Acrylic)? I have always been a glass person so all my tanks have been glass, probably because that is all the fish stores here sell. The tanks are made by 'All-Glass' at least I think that is the name couldn't find anything else. At my fish store they sell a 125 gal corner drilled tank for $330 plus the overflow assor. for $70(i believe the tank was 5 ft long). Is this good (if not you have any suggestions)? I have never had a pre drilled tank so if you could list the stuff I need. I would guess a sump, the overflow kit, and I should be able to use my remora pro in my sump correct(like an urchin pro) or just get a new skimmer. I need to know how big my sump should be and what kind also. I want my sump to be a refugium since this is what most people use their sump for.
This is what my tank is going to be: Fish Only Aggressive W/ LR. I will move my miniatus grouper and picasso(huma Huma) trigger to the 125 and I would like a Harliquin Tusk (might be to shy) and a Naso Tang (might be so small of a tank). Thanks.
Let me know what you think...good or bad.
.Criticisim is welcome that is how we learn.

i would do the acrylic, but i would have a reef and acrylic really looks good under MH. you will probably do the NO flourescent so acrylic will look only somewhat brighter than glass.
your application, on my budget= glass. sorry about the ranting.

no inverts right? no planktivores right? so why the refugium?

they do remove nutrients that will help you control algae but i don't think i would bother in a FOWLR.

take the cash you saved on the glass tank and refugium and buy a kick butt skimmer.
