These are my first macro shots with my new olympus camedia c-4000. DOes anyone use this camera? Any advise for this camera or macro shooting in general?
1. In general, when shooting macro the camera must be at an exact distance to bring the object into focus, ie. to get a sharp image (unless you use a special macro lens).
2. Olympus cameras are not famous for their macro performance, so you need to experiment with distance, zoom and other settings to get the most out of it.
3. When shooting through glass it is a good idea to use a polarizer filter to reduce reflections.
The fish in the 3rd photo seems to be in focus, but image is too soft. This could be due to some setting (aperture, ISO, shutter...) or simply the limitation of your camera.
