I just received my custom canopy for my established 92 gallon AGA corner tank. I am currently running an IceCap 660 with three 36" VHO lamps and one 24" VHO lamp.
Given the dimensions of my tank (approximately 36 inches of penetrating width in the front that narrows the farther back you go), please provide your suggestions for a retrofit idea regarding my new PFO 250W MH w/12"x11" spider reflector and existing IceCap 660.
The way I have figured, the following are possibilities:
1. Run the MH perpendiclar to the front of tank, and place two 24" VHO's on each side of the MH also running perpendicular to the front of tank on a slight angle.
2. Run the MH perpendicular to the front of tank, and place two 36" VHO's in front of the MH closer to the front of tank running parallel to the front of tank with two 24" VHO's behind the MH running parallel to the front.
3. Run the MH parallel to the front of tank with VHO's in the same set up as #2.
I am looking for the right blend of light coverage, color and intensity. My live rock is higher towards the rear.
