Just got some ricordia mushrooms from lfs problem is they arent on rock as you can import these but not the rock and they have now attached to a fine sand across the base;anyone have idea how I can get them onto host rock normally when propagating I get them on small rubble and glue with reef construck ? thanks.

it was a mushroom though. I just sat it in the substrate and it eventually just grabbed on to it. I would also think that if you put on a rock it would evenually attach to it . .I have seen people loosly put rubberband on each side to hold it in place and take band away 2 weeks later and it should be attached. It does take a while so just be patient.

crazygirl, you on top of it..but thats the way or if you have a small container with holes in it, you can place a rock in the container, and put the mushroom on it..and let it set for a few days, it will attatch itself...make sure you are using stonium in your system for the pive plants so this way their coral skeletons will remain strong..

You can do many things. Actually garf has a listing in thier propagation page. check it out.

Once the shroom attatches to the substrate, you can superglue the substrate to the rock you want to attach them to.

You can also use bridal veil and net it in place where you want the polyp to be on the rock.
