Does anyone know where I can get pickling lime in the greater Philadelphia area. I have looked in so many grocery stores and stuff and they have every canning product but.
For those of you who have the pickling lime in hand, what is the chemical breakdown on the jar? How much per gallon of top off are you using?
I have considered using pulverized lime from home depot. I think it is the same stuff, just not quite as pure. It has magnesium carbonate and some other stuff in it that I was wondering if the pickling lime has in it or not. Any reply would be great.
