i have a 375g with 2 built in overflows. the problem is that fish keep getting in there. how does everyone with this same set up keep them out. how do you get them out once thier in? it`s 30inches deep and i can`t reach the bottom of it because the hole up top is too small.

i honestly do see people mesh the opening off.
as far as getting them out i don't know. maybe you could valve off the one side and let the other with the fish in it fill all the way up and then sccop it out?

you know SM, this is the farthest down the index i have ever posted. and every time i post here it just gets lower and lower.

i am on my own personal safari!!!

and furthermore, i can't promise that i won't do it again.

i have a piece of sheet glass over my overflow. i may switch to eggcrate. can you build a small fish trap to fit in the overflow to catch the little sucker? good luck

Vinyl gutter guard works well and wasier to work with than eggcrate.
I have a lond handled net, to remove trapped fish carefully. I believe in prevention since I can't reach the bottom very well either.
