I saw a Juvi Naso at the LFS this evening and I think it was a Lopezi. LFS owner said it was just a Naso but it is that slate grey color and has blue spots. I thought it either had to be a Lopezi or a Vlamingi. Anybody out there know how to tell the difference in Juvi tangs. This fish was very inexpensive and I dont want to pass it up if it is what I think it is.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and if you have any pics of your Naso please share them.

Thanks

Marco if you do a search for vlamingi you will get some photos.
3 words of warning.
1.Price is irrelavent. If it is cheap, from Indonesia or the Phillippines it is likely cyanide caught.
Most tangs, butterflys, triggers and angels are from P/I.
Ask the store where it comes from
2. Is your tank 600 gallons? That is what you need for either a vlamingi or a lopezi. Trust me. They grow from a cute blue poka dot tang to a huge fish within 24 months.
3. The lopezi will grow to be an ugly fish; a vlamingi a beautiful fish.
IMO if the blue dots are all over the body it is vlamingi. If the dots are only on the front half of the fish it is a lopezi.
Be 100% sure before you buy.

naesco, thanks for the info, after doing some research today I know that I do not have the set up for a fish like this.
