which pump for closed loop

Any recommendations for a pump on a closed loop using 1" PVC to a 3/4" or 1" Sea-swirl (haven't decided which size to get yet).

It's for a 58 that is going to be mainly SPS, i'd like a 15-20X turnover.
I was leaning towards an Iwaki, which model is better suited for a closed loop, RLT or RXLT?

Closed loop is typically a low pressure situation, so go with a non-pressure rated pump. These are the RXLT pumps.

What are you running for a sump and return pump on the 58? I have a 58 that I want to add a CLS to.

I dont know what flow I need or how to get good flow but not pressure washing velocity.

I am thinking of using a SCWD as well but dont know. Terrified of using only clamps to hold the plumbing together

I'll be using a Little Giant 3-md for the sump return. I might use a scwd on the return lines, those things are pretty cool.

Instead of drilling the glass on my tank, I had a hole drilled through my overflow and i'm going to run the plumbing down thru the pre-drilled 3/4" BH.
I guess i'll probably use an Iwaki 3 or 4 xlt pump for the CL.
