Red Bubble Algea?? I think thats what it is

I have a friend who has a 60 cube reef. He has had a problem with what appears to be redf bubble algea growing on his live rock. it has been removed a vouple of times and keeps copming back even after the rock was scrubbed . Emarald crabs will not touch it. I do not have pictures at this time . however I will try to get some Soon. does anyone have any clue how to get this stuff gone.; Please reply :x

If it's a new system or lacking in certain types of filtration my first assumption would be that there's a nutrient export problem.

Can you get him to post directly? It's much easier, especially for the person who acts as a go-between.
