Anyone have a 85 gallon tank?

Does anyone out there have a 85 gallon tank?.and how long? No takers on the leaky thread.so I modified it. LOL

I took the liberty of correcting the subject from "*5 gallons" to "85 gallons".

FWIW, I am not aware of any standardized 85 gallon tank.

I am pickin one up this next week...it is made by Great Lakes Aquarium.

I have a standard AGA 85g. 48"L x 18"W x 22"D

48*18*22/231=82 (Gal)

If this is the outside measurement, I am pretty sure the tank holds even less water if you measure the inside length.

Let's suppose the glass panels are 1/2" thick.

47*17*21/231=72.63 (Gal)

They may have sold the tank to you as 75 Gal tank.

I, too, am not aware of any "standard" 85Gal Tank.

The thickness of the AGA glass for the 90G and the 75G is the same, therfore, that tank that he has actually uses 3/8" glass panels. So do your calculations an you will find the actual volume it holds. Just my 2 Cents.

I already knew this,but it is sold as an 85g.I didn't know we were splitting hairs.He asked if anyone had an 85g and that is what it's sold as.Sorry.
