Telo, unfortunately, these statements are not correct.
What can be expected is that the shark will suffer, instead of thriving, it will just survive. The most likely outcome will be an untimely demise. In a tank that barely allows the animal to turn around, one can expect an early death, and a gruesome one at that.
I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to please research before they make any purchase, please!
Also, take heed of Reefnewbie's comment. Too many mistakenly believe that their local public aquarium will be happy to take their fish, and this simply is NOT the case.
