Having retired from the industry after 20+ years, I have been behind the scenes in a consultant capacity and was wondering if anyone else has used a product called Bio-Genesis in their enclosed reef? It was made by a company called Dolphin Pharmaceuticals and I was one of the first to use it before it came out for resale in the public marketplace. If you'd like to contact me to learn who-what-when-where and why, my e-mail is [email protected], or [email protected]

It seems as if no one has even heard of this product. I posted this in hopes of running into a successful aquarist who HAS used this other than myself. This product was used in every one of my enclosed reef systems and was probably in my opinion, the most amazing substance I had ever seen or used. Bar none!
If you have heard of it or used it, please get ahold of me. I'd like to compare results.
thanks-

Bio-Genesis WAS the basis for the food chain reaction. It was a powdered substance, per say, a ground flake like consistency that contained microorganisms that (once the proper salt water mixture was added, that is to say, an ocean water composite)-ie-reef water...provided a "bloom" of food for other smaller organisms who were food for other animals and so on and so forth. The growth of the animals at the onset of adding this TO my systems became almost supernatural in event, as my livestock suddenly, approximately three weeks after addition to, grow at alarming rates unheard or unseen in the industry. My Bryozoan rock, after transhipping, had virually no die off, was growing organisms I had never seen before that were spectacular with branches of brozoans growing almost out of the top of the tanks off the rock.., sponges, algaes, (coralline reds and yellows), varieties of shrimp seemed endless,(banded, peppermint, ghost, MANTIS, skunk..... almost breeding non-stop, lol.., it was almost like I had added a shot of pheromones, growth and breeding hormones to everything in the systems...This was provided to, and only this... to ALL of my enclosed reef systems as food, whereas it did not work in the fresh systems, although there was another product they made (Dolphin Pharmaceuticals)that was fresh specific.... I have been out of touch for quite a few years on this subject and do not actually remember what the ingredients ARE, but if you are thinking along my lines here you will get the general idea. I will check into my older resources and see if I can come up with more information on it AGAIN... lol.. It has been 7-8 years since I have owned the product as I have been out of the "loop" since I sold my business and regained my civility towards the hobby of enclosed systems. (I sold my last 350 gallon reef system to a doctor 6 years ago whom I will attempt to reach and see if he still has any of this product left as I had almost 2 cases of it upon selling my business and clearing out the systems and if so, I will ask him to send me a quantity for perusal and/or read me the label so I may acquire the information from that to offer more on this.) This new age of reef developement has so startled me into the reality of the hobby that I, being a naturalist, believing that animals should stay in their own environment due to the fact that the industry has battled with the likes such as cyanide collections, electrical generation into a coral reef head to extract animals, coral mining for liverock, for many years, even before some of us who have been in the business for a long time, and in the end, there is no remediation OF these resources.... to a point.....when dealing with some of the more rare corals, animals and livestock, that I am now tired of sitting back and watching this unending battle between good(net caught, aquaculture) and evil(cyanide & other unethical methods), so to speak continue, that I have decided to offer some humble assistance..(if I may).. I believe my knowledge and experiences may at some point, help others to do less harm and more good in the "art" of keeping enclosed systems healthy and interesting and as an added challenge TO this venture we call a hobby, breeding, rearing, and the successful management of our depleted wild stocks as well. I am quite unfamiliar with a lot of the newer developements and am readily able to digest anything aquarists may have to offer in this field. Again, please forgive me if I sound ignorant on some of the terminology, but I guess it would be due to senior moments? lol...
Thanks for your time. I WILL do my homework and try to enlighten you all more on the subject of Bio-Genesis.

I found the Bio-Genesis AGAIn, after all these years of wondering what had happened to it. Amazing.....hiddendragonet, I appreciate your help in giving me directions to the link. (leslie's), and have made contact with the company that makes it. For the fresh and salt industry, if you are interested in this product, you should look into using this. Not a well known product even to this day (as I found out), and only sold by bulk I was told by the VP of Operations for Dolphin Pharm./16oz. by volume is wholesale, 75 USD + S&H. So, finally, I can get back to the task @ hand... That is....lol....reefs.
