yea me too........i got a 930 GPH powerhead pumpin out of my wet/dry/sump, up to the top of the tank to a T and then out to spray bars on either side...kinda cool...gives a little waterfal effect over the water. i too will probably use a check vavlve...unless the bar is ganna go above the water line the screw it
I agree with dustin. I am using the "Y" type check valves and do not see much in the way of losses. When water flows forward, the plunger moves almost completely out of the flow path, thus minimizing loss of pipe diameter and minimizing turbulence. I have used various types of check valves and these are by far the best. An added feature is that they are very easy to clean.
