I'm wondering if anyone has ever had success with the Clavularia green morph on page 171 of book two? This would be a fantastic addition to any tank. Any help with finding this species would be appriciated ! Thanks Snowman

Also wondering if anyone knows when the third book is scheduled to be released.

I have .... sorta. I had a colony that grew like wildfire for 3 years, then wilted away in a few weeks for no reason I can ascertain. Really weird. I got mine at my LFS. It's not a common color morph, obviously, so you have to just get lucky. If one shows up around here, I'll keep you in mind.

Unfortunately, these polyps were pre-digital camera days and I have no images of them. They didin't pulse, was a light green with a darker green center .... very cool coral. Mine did grow at a decent rate before it crashed.

Being a sit administrator do you have any advice about how to locate such a bear or where I should post a search ? Thanks Jarrell

Hehe ... Contrary to popular myth, being a site admin gets me no perks :P This is purely a labor of love.

A good place to post this is the "Want to buy" forum. http://reefs.org/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=51

I feel obliged to warn you this is a pretty rare item and so don't expect immediate responses if any ;) BTW, if you do find someone who has such a coral, let me know. I miss mine.

I also had (have) colony of bright green clavularia. I got them about 2 years ago and they too, initially grew like crazy. I now have 3 polyps left which are being squeezed out by ugly brown button polyps - very difficult to seperate them, and everytime that I have tried, I lose more clavularia. The clavularia have shown no signs of budding in at least 1 1/2 years. Good luck finding them - I got my colony from a salesperson at a now defunct California online fish/coral store, who sold me some really neat stuff, just before he left them. I will see if I can get you a picture of the three remaining polyps.

I would appriciate the picture if possible. It sounds as if they are next to impossible to have long term success with. Maybe you and Len and others should compare experiences and see if you can find any common problems you had that may lead to success. Maybe we can (and hopfully do) find someone with them and has had success. Thanks Jarrell (snowman)

I picked up this colony at Upscales....it is about the size of a softball, and has been in my tank for about 2 months now. It is sitting directly under a MH, and has moderate flow directed at it. Mine does not pulse or wave like Zenia....
