ER 8-3, too big...

I've got a 58gal and planning to upgrade my T1000 skimmer. i'm thinking about getting a euroreef ES8-3. do you guys think its too big for a 58? TIA,souk

Hell no... imo you can always shut it off 8) at least you are investing in an awesome skimmer that you can use if you upgrade.

And depending on your bioload....sometimes more skimming is in order...I wouldn't trade my Euroreefs for anything.

What do you have that the T1000 [if that means TurboFlotor1000] can't handle in a 58G?

I'd have to say yes. For a 58 I'd go with something like a CS 6-2 or so. No need for anything like the ES 8-3. I have the CS 8-3 on my 120 that also has another 200g in sump/refugium on it. Only go with the ES 8-3 if you think you will be upgarding the size of your tank soon.
