hmm,i pick up a few buckets of IO salt when i'm at my old wholesalers depot, and if out i pick up a few buckets of Tropic marin (the 2 brands he carries and i would use),it takes me a long time to go thru these buckets with just my 130g FOWLR,after months of IO,i have a couple buckets of TM to use,did a 20g water change and also did some moving around of my rockwork (225 pounds) and powerhead placement, now i have some bleaching on the top layers of the rockwork, usually all of my rock is coraline crusted (even with 4 urchins)....salt change the cause?,moving around the rocks?,any thoughts?....Riot....

no worries Erik, devil is correct,it is pieces that i moved from lower and more hidden areas of my tank to the top, wasnt thinking when i posted, was more curious to whether the change of salts could do this then the obvious reason.... :? ....Riot.....

The growth of my coralline makes a reverse bell shaped curve under my MH light on the back glass. It grows better the farther away from the light it gets. :D

Sounds like a lighting situation more than anything. Riotfish- check your personal emails for one I sent you last week regarding local lfs's.

I recently switched from using Instant Ocean salt to Tropic Marin in my 500 gallon reserve because I herd It was "The Best" from someone I respect as a reef keeper. I have not had a burst of coralline growth after water changes like before.

This maybe a combination of things in your tank. Don’t rule out the salt as part of the solution even if it is a smaller part compared to the lighting issue.
