Foxface - grazing?

Do the Foxface need seaweed/lettuce to graze on like a tang?

My Foxface, like my powder Blue Tang, loves a variety of seaweed. I feed Julian Sprung's Sea Veggies, Palmaria palmata (red) and Porphyra yeoensis (green) most of the time. I'll occassionally add Porphyra umbilicalis (purple). Lettuce belongs in your salad, not your tank! :wink:

Yes they do. They may not need as much to survive, I am guessing they have larger digestive tracks than tangs. But I feed mine seaweed everyday with my yellow tang. This is best for their long term health IMO
Anyone know the potency of there sting off hand? One time I heard a person put them in the category with stone fish?! I thought that it would just inflame and hurt. Mine is very docile will pick right from my hand and has a good personality.

BTW only lettuce is not good for tangs and other grazers long term.

My fox face grazes constantly . She is very fat and loves the turf Algae that I have in my tank, She is the only reason why I have been able to keep it under control
