Dropped a cube of frozen mysid into my tank yesterday and noticed my female Clarkii feed a serpent star a mouthful.... weird, but she feeds her Hadoni often, so I figured she was just being neighborly. Then I noticed her try to push a nearby snail into the Hadoni. OK, wierd again, but whatever. Then the wife tells me she thinks the pair of Clarkii's are spawning. Well sure enough, I find about 100-200 eggs on a nearby rock. Weird thing about it is the egg's are translucent white. In the past the eggs were orange. (She laid eggs before without the male).
This AM however, I could not find the eggs. So maybe somehting got a good meal last night.
