Had it for 6 months, probably from Fiji (flying fish express), no problems, even eats flake food (brineshrimpdirect.com)...nips at my clams...nice fish
I have been keeping a red sea regal angelfish in my 180 gal reef since 4/4/01. It eats flake, frozen and basically everything I offer. It is an excellent inhabitant. It took 2 1/2 months before it began feeding on prepared food. It sustained itself on sponge in the interim.
Go with a yellow throated Red Sea/Indian Ocean regal as they adapt to captivity much better than their Pacific cousins. Regals are very touchy but if you get a smaller one that's eating your chances of success are good IME. I bought mine mail order from a place in Florida called Marine Life Designs. Be emphatic that you want a specimen that is feeding or don't bother. HTH. Good luck.
