Wooo ! 8O Having kept the larger mouth puffers, I really don't even trust them not to eat the tank.....
However, I do keep a valentini with brain coral, plate coral, sps frags, mushrooms and cabbage coral, some snails and, believe it or not, a peppermint shrimp. He was with a clam for a bit, but I couldn't sleep so I moved it...
I have seen him eat colt coral polyps tho. I'd put in him in my main reef in a minute, however these puffers are very sweet and placid, and easily intimidated by big aggressive fish (my tangs would scare the crap out of him)
I think it's sometimes too easy to say it is "reef safe" when it may only be reef safe with what one individual happens to have at the moment.
