Can anyone tell me about these tunze pump/powerheads?
1st do they go in the display?
do they pulse on their own or must you use a controller

Yes, they go in the display tank and if you want them to pulse, IIRC you need to buy their controller. They definitely put out a nice amount of current and if I had the $$ to get one, I'd do it.

The 6060 and the 6080 are single speed pumps - can't be used with the Tunze controller or a wavemaker. The word from Tunze is that turning them on/off any more frequently than once per hour will cause premature failure.

The 6000 and the 6100 are electronic and can be used with the Tunze controllers to do a variety of different things.
