Hey there ...I recently bought a new 33 gallon aquarium...the old one is incrusted with coraline algae...is there a way to move it to my new tank...i know scraping it...but how to you collect it...?

I think I read on GARF that they would take a razor with airline tubing start a syphon then scrap off a bunch of coraline and put it in another tank and let it seed.
One question why the move to a new tank of the same size?

One thing people have done is to somehow attach a razor to the end of vinyl tubing, and as they're scraping the coralline off they're siphoning away the fragments into a collection bucket with a net/strainer to catch the coralline.

I really don't know if I'd even bother doing this though. With the right water parameters, coralline is going to regrow in the new tank on its own in a matter of a few short months.

Think i will just wait it out for it to regrow...but thanks for the advise... :)
