Hi.

I just recieved my Detrivore kit from Inland Aquatics, and I didn't quite realize that a "Micro Star" was a regular starfish and not a serpent/brittle star. I'm wondering if these are reef safe before adding them to my tank. They're between 1/8 and 1/2 inch long, generally have 5 or 6 legs, and are light brown or spotted brown in color.

I believe the correct term for those is something like Asterea starfish. They are in the hicthhickers forum. In anycase I have dozens of these in my tank and the seems reefsafe to me. I have SPS, Soft, LPS, and clams with no problems.

They used to send out mini brittle stars which I also have and like better!

Micro stars? Like Gary Coleman? Actually id like to get micro stars...Why dont i ever get lucky with hitchhikers??? :cry:
