I need the guys that have been in reef keeping a long time to tell me stories on Eheim pumps, are they worth a #$*$& because Mag sure isnt. I have had mags swell, break impeller shafts and about 6 housings go out. Since Mag must not be what it used to be, what about Eheim ? I need to order a pump by this Sunday and before i spend $120 on a Eheim 1060 i need to know will this be the last pump i buy for this tank.

Eheim gives quality product. Spendy, yes, metric size, yes, but quality nonetheless.

Excellent , low power consumption relatively, and low heat in submerged applications. I have a 1260 as the return pump on my 75 alas I think they top out at about 800? or so for the 1262? Mine is plug and play, I take the grill off and stuff some polyfilter in there once every few months too instead of their filter pad.

I would like to stay submersible on my next pump on my 215 but am not seeing too many options - may have to end up drilling the sump anyways.
