Hey there, I didnt want to let this one slip through the cracks, we need to get a positive ID on this. Dr. Shimek sounds pretty confident, and I love asking him for various ID's as he is the guy to talk to about id'ing small critters, but just for one last spot-check can we get you to pull off one of these guys and photograph him from inside your tank (a dry photograph would not be as clear and may conceal items such as jointed appendages etc)

We need a photo of the underside of the creature to tell. Just pull one off, turn him sideways right in front of the glass and snap another close-up pic. If I can't see a jointed leg or a clear joint on the carapace (making two halves or quarters) Id huuuuuumbly disagree with it being a cope/arthropod. But of course I wouldnt tell anyone Id just humbly disagree in silence \!

After thinking about it, i'm just going to let them be. Keep my eye on them and if they start doing harm, then i'll pull them out. Don't want to be picking at it if I don't have to. I'll try for some better pics, we'll see.

just take a pair of tweezers and grab one. You will be able to tell immediately if its a worm or copepod.

Leg = some kind of pod.
No legs = some kind of worm.
