just wandering does any body know what location would be good for my frogspawn my tank is 48x18x24 my lighting is 2 6500k flourescents 1 actinic 40w and 1 MH 175w lights are 10" from tank water.one other question frogspawn use to be more vibrant i have not changed anything in regards to lighting or filtration nor additives he seems lately not to be as large as he was water quality is fine i chk every week ph8.2 sg:1.023 water temp 81 deg. any suggestions would be great.Oh also i use the skilter 400 found it to work very well.

1) Raise your ph to 8.4
2) I personally dont like my tank to get hotter than 80.

They like high light so make sure he is getting plenty... Hope this helps a little

My tank temp goes around 79-82 and seems fine any where in this range. Frogspawn will do well in some different current conditions, light to med IME is best. I would keep it on a ledge away from the rest of the live rock or above to prevent stinging other corals later. Half way down would be fine. Frogspawn are pretty easy and can be feed if you wish.

48" IMO really requires 2 MH not one, for best spread but I have kept frogspawn in many conditions including PC, MH and even NO very close to the light in a window tank.
