Need some expert advice pretty quick. What do you guys think? Good deal on this or not? Thanks for any help you can offer. I am looking at getting back into the hobby after a 10 year break, and thought this would be a good start.

I sent the seller an email, and he responded with this:

One year old excellent condition. All Glass Aquarium Modified. The glass
is 1/2" on sides and 3/4" on the bottom. I would have no problem at all
with you picking it up and we would help you load it. Thanks

Looks like a really nice tank, I have a couple of questions if you don't
mind. What is the age of the equipment? Who is the manufacturer of the
tank? What is the thickness of the glass or is it acrylic? If acrylic, are
there any scratches on the surface? If I was to win the auction, would you
have any problems with me picking it up personally? I only live about 2
hours away and would trust myself more than a shipping company. I guess that is it, I hope you get this before the auction ends. Thank you for any information you can provide.

Looks decent enough from the pic, altho I would reserve the right of refusal if you inspect it when you pick it up and it is cracked, has problems, etc. Also, I'm questioning if the Iwaki 30 pump is the right pump for that AquaC skimmer, but I could be wrong. You'll probably have to buy new membranes, filters, and resin for the RO/DI unit, but maybe you'll luck out. $600's not a bad price for that if it's all good.

I didn't get it, I was going as high as $650.00, but it went for 686.13. A good deal still for somebody. I am not going to be ready for a tank for another couple of months as I am still in the research phase. It just seemed like a good deal and exactly what I was looking for. Thanks to those that responded. I wish I had access to a site like this when I set up my first system back in 83'. Looking forward to getting my feet wet again, I'll try not to be too much of a pest. Thanks all, talk to you soon.
