I voted for the 55 because the tank is so easy to work in,inexpensive, shallow, and does not take up so much room. However if I had the room and the money I would get the 120.

I see you are also an Alien like myself. How old are you I am 200,000 earth years.....but 52 years in a Human Form. I liked it better when I was a Great White cruising the shallows for seals. Sometimes I would screw up and mistake a human for a seal. Yuck! I could not get the smell or taste out of my system for weeks. I am settin up my 50 breeder for a Bursa Trigger and a few Damsels. This should be a fun tank.

My next tank will be a 72 bow. Just because I like the bowfront. Unless Petco runs it's $1 per gallon sale again. Then it's definately a 90

My fav tank now is my 15 gal high.

Well if the 120 is out, then I'd vote for the 75 and make sure you get it drilled for dual overflows (i.e. Reef Ready). I'd go with a minimum of a 1" ID overflow and perferrably 1.5" ID if you can handle it.

the 120 would have been my first choice, as well-a wonderfully proportioned tank :D

i'd also recommend a larger sump than a 29 gal tank-get a 40+gal rubbermaid tub-the larger size adds that much more volume to the system, and the tubs are great for installing a dsb/fuge, while also doubling as a sump

i think the rubbermaid tubs are great for thier price but they seem to take up alot of space for the gallonage gained. the bow effect is bothersome too.
i have decided that when my tank is finally up and running, and my pocket allows it, i am ditching the tub and buying a sheet of acrylic.

I'm 6'9", and I wouldn't want a tank shorter than my wingspan! :D

4 gallons.

I would go with the biggest tank you can fit into your available space. The bigger the tank, the more stable the water param's etc. will eventually become. I think the reason I had zero repercussions from a 17 hour power blackout was because of the size of my 140. In fact, if I had the space I would have gone 200 or bigger.
