OK I have a small lawnmower that now thinks he's a rototiller He has dug ditches all around the live rock in the tank and he hides in them. He'll wait for the tang to pass by and comes swimming out all blown up chasing the tang of course till the tang turns around then he'll fly by undercover. We thinks it's pretty funny to watch him do this. Has anyone else had this type of experience
Usually, lawnmowers aren't that aggressive to other non-blennies/gobies. You might just have a very ill-tempered specimen I've never had a lawnmower act that aggressively towards a tang before. I wonder if it's carrying (or laid) eggs.
This fish has moats dug around the base of almost all the live rock not just one area. I'll have to keep and eye out to see if another fish gets near to any particular part of the tank whether it gets more agressive. What would I look for as far as eggs go, do they just lay them into the substrate ??
