A deal too good to pass up

Some deals are too good to pass up. On my way home yesterday I stopped by my favorite LFS. He had just gotten in his 3rd Rhinopias scropianfish which he said he had gottne an incredible deal on. He wanted to unload one and was willing to pass the deal on. Gave me a choice of two of the 3 he had for $400. I picked the leafy (R. frondosa) over the purple R. eschmeyeri (3in vs 5-6in) Merry X-mas to me! Had to share.

Where they come from, because here in PR i use to catch and release them when spinning on shallow waters, maybe this is the special edition model :lol: .

just curious, i dont know anything about these fish...but marinedepot has them for like 17 dollars........?

Take a look to the price of the Lookdown fish and this is another fish that i used to caght when go fishing. This is of the family of the amberjack, Pompano, ect. Why they are so expensive when is a easy to find fish. http://www.marinedepotlive.com/lodovo.html

Ralphyhp- Rhinopias is a Indo-Pacific genus so while what you caught may have been similar, I doubt it was the same fish.

PeeJ - Marinedepotlive has the Cockatoo Waspfish - Amblyapistus taenionotus for $17.
