Hey Guys,

I haven't kept a lot of fish...just SPS, LPS, softies, clams, misc inverts and seahorses (oh! and I have kept clowns). So I need some advice.

I have a 25 gallon that I have had setup for about a year and I thought I would add some fish.

I got a few firefish, a yellow watchman goby and an orchid dottyback and over the last week I think I have seen them for a total of 5 minutes!!!

They are always hiding out in the back :(

Can anyone recommend some cool and 'social' fish? Something that when people come over will prevent comments and questions like "Wow, what a lifeless tank!" or "Why do you have that big tank full of plants???" or "Where are the fish? It is a 'fish'-tank right?"

give it time...my firefish took months to really adjust to seeing my mug, maybe damsels, wrasses and clowns, i think those guys are more social...

My firefish has been out in the open since day one. He's alone in a 30 gallon. Very curious, always watching me when I'm at the tank. Give it time, he'll probably come around. A lot of critters take a week or two to get used to new surroundings.

This use to be the bests friends on my tank but Mr. Mantis finished its relationship . The only social fishes that i have on my tank are 5 Blue Chromis that use to shooling all the time, a Yellow tang and a Purple tang. But you know that the Tangs need space for swim.
