I was wondering if anyone was from the St. louis area, and if so, where are some good stores for a "reefer" to shop? I am looking for a reputable store dealing in species and corals, ot either/or.

thanks

hi there,
well there's about 4 thats decent they are:
clayton pet emporium at 509 s. hanley

satwatercity on olive around the 12500 block he just moved so his stuff is in complete disaray right across from the fridays over there.

marine solutions on highway 94 in st. charles right off of the i70exit

beldts aquarium off of howdershell road.

my favorite is beldts due to them selling every coral they have for 29.99 i have bought a blastomossa from there that would have cost aroud 80-100 bucks at other stores, got it for 29 bucks. plus if your into acro's you can buy complete colonies there also but you have to get there a within a couple days of them getting them due to the insufficent lighting they have there.

hope that helps,
steven

I highly reccommend Clayton Pet Emporium for livestock and corals. Their water quality is superb (which is a nice change form other places) and they have a 20% off or 14 day guarantee on fishees. Talk to Jan, the owner. She has been in SW for 25+ years and has never given me bad advice.

I only go to Marine Solutions when I am in need of something right away that I can't get at CPE. They are going through some management changes and it's hard to get straight forward advice. They do have great specials on dry goods though.

HTH.

I am 50 miles on the other side of the river, and have a 75 gal and CSL hood with PCs. Just waiting to get my house finished so I can start filling it up. Any good place to get cheap Fiji live rock?

hi there, keep an eye out on ebay there was a guy selling 50lbs of lr from his tank, it sold for around 130 bucks. thats a heck of alot cheaper than buying it from a store. he has more he will be selling later i guess since he has a 125g. you can refine your search so it only locates stuff in stl.
