if you dont have room for a small 5 foot kiddie pool im really starting to think you didnt think through your 100+ gallon tank on the 57th floor, maybe you should have went smaller.... no offense... but a kiddie pool is a collapsable container.... if this isnt gonna work i dont think your really gonna find anything thats gonna work.
Well,,,,, sure - I can push some furniture around to make room for a kiddie pool. But it would take my RO system at least a day to fill it up. So how do I keep my dogs from taking a swim in it while I am at work?
FWIW, I have a service that hauls in all the purified water, salt, pumps, hoses, buckets and garbage cans needed to do a big water change (say 30%) every 2-3 months. But I would also like to do smaller (say 10%) water changes more frequently. These smaller water changes are at the practical limit of what I can do given the capacity of my RO/DI system. And I also want the capability to do bigger changes if the need arises.
Sure, I can use a 2-3 big garbage cans, which is what I sort of am doing now. But this is still messy and requires a bunch of garbage cans sitting around my living room for several days, and then I have to store all this stuff when I am done. It works, but there has got to be a better way. That is why I started this thread looking for alternatives to garbage cans.
Kiddie pools are ok, but take up as much room as 2-3 garbage cans, and I still have to find a place to store the thing. I also think that there is a contamination issue with having such a large open surface area. What I would like to find is a large (100 gal) collapsible container with a relatively small footprint.
