I think the fact of seeing a happy clownfish transforming gender on a movie screen is just a little too far for some people who don't know that that's what they normally do. It's just a little, well...complex. :lol:

And arent we trying to keep the ratings down?It's a Disney movie!

The film is fabulously entertaining and beautiful. It's a combination of extremely accurate and pure fantasy. It's nothing that one can make much headway against if one wants to be hypercritical.

Why be disappointed that Marlin didn't change sex, but not mention that their eggs were laid in a cave about a foot away from the anemone? Why did Coral show so much care and concern for those eggs when we know that it's mostly the male clownfish that tends to them?

If we demanded real accuracy it would be more shocking than just Marlin changing sex to female. It would have included Nemo becoming the new male and mating with his daddy......Marlene :lol:

Then there would also be the other hosts of other clownfish scramblin' around for a mate and then they'd find to the death and...

Plus, the image of the embryos in the eggs up close is like way too sci-fi. 8O
