Well, I kept a wobbegong for a few months in a 30 long (shhh...), but that's besides the point. It's now in a 800 gallon and eventually moving to a public aquarium; yes, I asked them first if they would accept it when it got 10' long.
Joe, I maintain a tank quite similar to this, and feed it every day as well. It's 4' wide, 4' tall, and 2' (or maybe 2.5'??, now I forget) long. The two 4'X4' faces are viewable, and it's set in a wall. I think it ends up being around 275 gallons or so. The tank is filtered with a large W/D and a UV filter. The fish are a Volitans lion, Zebra moray, Majestic angel, Dog face puffer, Regal tang, and a cute little yellow tailed damsel that has survived all those aggressive fish for over two years now

If I were to do it all over I would put in a school of fairy/flasher wrasses and a bunch of peaceful anthias, but lions and eels have a much higher 'ooh, ahh' factor.
I have an automatic feeder (Rond-o-matic is the brand, I think) that dumps pellet food in three times a day at preset times. It was a bit expensive but well worth the investment. I can load it for over 7 days and not have to worry about feeding if I'm out of town or too busy. I also feed them formula one, two, and angel every other day. I feed the eel and lion whole shrimp, crab, red snapper occasionally, and squid. This is about 2 times a week, and if I miss a week they're none worse for the wear.
I strongly, strongly suggest running two return pumps, not just one. This is pretty much standard practice if you're not near the tank all the time. Eventually, years down the road, one of those pumps will fail, and it's the type of thing customers don't notice until all the fish are dead.
